A deployment outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS) often comes with an entitlement for non-temporary storage (NTS), also known as permanent storage. Rather than haul everything you own halfway across the world, the government typically offers to store some amount of your household goods for the length of your deployment.

Find and talk to your local Transportation Office for more details about the entitlements and authorizations that come with your individual orders.
